DESCRIPTION

SuperTrader™ is a stand alone Windows® desktop application (no Java download time) that connects to Datek's Streamer™ server(s) and other data sources including the Datek™ Classic site and Yahoo®. Streamer™ based charts can be displayed in individual resizable windows along with additional charts from the other data sources. The Streamer™ charts update continuously tick-by-tick and for active stocks this can mean several updates per second even over a 28.8 modem.

It's easy to use - just enter the symbols you want to chart/track and click the connect button. Connection to the Streamer™ is very fast and charts appear quickly. Click buttons on the Control Panel to bring charts to the foreground or to display Alert options and a Stock List.  The Stock List has six sortable fields including percent Change. Click buttons on individual Streamer™ charts to display a plot for Bid, Ask, or Last price. Symbols can be added, changed or deleted on the fly from the Symbol Sets tab in the Options dialog.

In addition to modems, proxy servers and direct connections are supported.  SuperTrader™ can retrieve a great deal of data and your system will dictate how quickly it is processed. Although SuperTrader™ will run on any Windows® 95/98/NT platform, we recommend a modern fast processor with a minimum of 32Mb of memory; especially if you're going to use SuperTrader™ for daytrading as we do.

Infrequent changes by Datek™ to their servers may necessitate that certain SuperTrader™ files be updated. Also, Flair Software will occasionally release upgrades with new features. These updates are available for automatic download and installation when you first start the application and the Starter screen appears.
